about

This is the soundtrack for "Septentrion," a work by the dance group G-ray.

The blink of the stars of the Septentrion and the shape of the constellation is the inspiration for our work. Septentrion has been worshipped as "Myoken" in Japan since ancient times. Myoken means "excellent eyesight" and represents the ability to see the truth and the good and bad of our actions. In this age of information overload, we may unconsciously take everything for granted. As a result, we lose sight of what is important. We wonder if we are losing sight of what is essential and if even our core is shaken and blurred. There are many things in the world that we cannot see. Seeing things with our imagination takes a lot of effort, but I think it is crucial. The Septentrion, emerging from the blurred landscape, is a ray of light. I hope that the Septentrion which rises in the blurred landscape will be the power to discern a beam of light.
